There are a number of taxes and charges associated with operations throughout Australian airports. This includes the Passenger Movement Charge of A$47.00 - also known as Departure Tax - which is levied by the Federal Government.
Other charges include the Fuel Surcharge, which has been introduced by the airlines to cover the increased cost of fuel, and the Airservices and Fire Fighting Charges, which are levied by Airservices Australia.
