Duty free allowances apply to passengers entering Australia.

If you are aged 18 years or over you can bring the following items:

  • 2250ml of alcoholic beverage.
  • 50 cigarettes or 50 grams of cigars or tobacco products duty-free into Australia with you. All tobacco products in accompanied baggage are included in this category, regardless of how or where they were purchased.
  • Unlimited fragrance for personal use (excluding concentrates).

Each adult over 18 years is allowed A$900 worth of other goods, while each child is allowed A$450.  Alternatively, you can combine your allowances on the one declaration with your immediate family (maximum two adults per family), which means two adults and two children = A$2700.
