Perth Airport scoops Skytrax Award for Best Staff Service

Perth Airport has been recognised in the global 2016 Skytrax World Airport Awards, winning the Best Airport Staff Service in Australia/Pacific category.

The award was announced at a reception at the 2016 Passenger Terminal Expo, being held in Cologne, Germany from 5.30pm to 6.30pm GMT+1.

The prestigious Skytrax awards are based on the world’s largest airport customer satisfaction survey where millions of customers from more than 100 countries evaluate the service levels at more than 550 airports around the world. The survey provides a global benchmark of airport excellence.

“We are thrilled to accept this award on behalf of the thousands of people who come to work at Perth Airport each day.  It is testament to their dedication and commitment to achieving outstanding levels of customer service,” said Brad Geatches, Chief Executive Officer, Perth Airport.

“I would like to acknowledge all front-line staff including our airline partners and their ground handlers,  government agencies, retail and hospitality, security and cleaning, airport operations and, of course, our Gold Coat Ambassadors who all played a vital role in securing this award,” he said.

“While we have invested significantly in transforming our terminal facilities over the last four years to ensure we deliver a world-class airport experience, this award pays tribute to the airport community who strive to provide the best service possible each and every day.”

The survey evaluates customer satisfaction across 39 key performance indicators for airport service and product including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping and dining, security and immigration, through to departure at the gate.

“We will continue to focus our efforts on providing an enjoyable experience for our customers and to work in partnership with our airport community to ensure we maintain superior levels of service across all our terminals,” said Mr Geatches.
