With almost 220,000 passengers expected to travel through Perth Airport over the next six days, Chief Operating Officer Scott Woodward says the airport is gearing up for a busy Easter and school holiday period.
“Our passenger numbers have now recovered to pre covid levels – showcasing West Aussie’s propensity to travel,” Mr Woodward said.
“We’ll be working with our airline partners, retailers and security contractors to ensure it’s a quick and stress-free experience, but with so much activity there may be some delays.
“So, if there are hold-ups or queues, please be patient.
“And please be respectful to fellow travellers, airport, and airline staff as we work together to ensure the safety of all passengers.
“We recommend arriving 90 minutes before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight.
“The airport’s top priority is to ensure the safety and security of passengers and visitors to the airport, which means security screening is an essential part of the travel routine.
“Then you will have time to relax and maybe do some shopping at many of our new or upgraded shops or food and beverage outlets before boarding your flight.
“Over the past 18 months we have added car parking spaces across the estate so jump online to pre-book your bay.
“And don’t forget that all our Long-Term car parks have one hour free for those picking up friends and family.”
“And if you are travelling through T1D or T4 you will see Easter-inspired art installations brought to you by Perth-based artist Pip & Pop. You may even see some of our team handing out some Easter treats.”
