Thai Airways returns to Perth Airport
02 April, 2024
Thai Airways has reconnected Thailand and Western Australia with the return of a daily service to Bangkok.
Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer Kate Holsgrove said it was fantastic to see the airline return with a non-stop daily service to the popular destination.
“The return of this service will deliver a significant 186,368 seats and 14,000 tonnes of cargo capacity to the Perth market annually.
“With Thailand being a popular holiday destination and Bangkok being a major hub for flight connections right around the globe, Western Australians will enjoy increased air connectivity for business or leisure.
“Thailand is Western Australia’s eighth largest trading partner and a significant market for international students providing a massive opportunity for both our economies as non-stop flights resume.
“Securing non-stop services to international destinations continues to be a high priority for Perth Airport.
Thai Airways is operating the daily service with a B787-8 aircraft which has a total of 256 seats configured with 22 Business Class seats and 234 Economy Class seats.
