New Air Radiators Workshop and Office building at Perth Airport achieves Green Star rating

Perth Airport is pleased to announce that the purpose-built Air Radiators Workshop & Office facility, located in the Perth Airport South precinct, has achieved a 4-star Green Star Design & As Built v1.3 rating.

Key initiatives of the project include:
- 50 kW rooftop solar PV system to support renewable energy generation.
- 25% reduction in peak electricity demand and 12% overall energy savings compared to the base case.
- More than 50% reduction in the building’s life-cycle impact.
- Over 90% of construction and demolition waste diverted from landfill through circular economy practices.
- High-performance glazing to optimise energy efficiency.
- Energy-efficient LED lighting installed throughout the facility for reduced energy consumption.
- Enhanced daylight access and thermal comfort to improve occupant well-being and productivity.
- Design response addressing potential future climate risks.
