Gascoyne Food Festival (Carnarvon)

The Gascoyne region will be coming alive in August through September with the annual Gascoyne Food Festival. Head up to Carnarvon for September 11-12 and enjoy the Twilight Long Table Dinner and then chuck a dollar on the Carnarvon Cup.

The festival coincides with fruit season in WA’s food bowl. Mid-May to mid-October is the best time for the Fruit Loop Drive Trail. Taste the region’s plentiful tropical fruits, succulent seafood and local produce.

Humpback whale watching (Monkey Mia)

August - October is the best time to spot humpback whales in Shark Bay. These majestic creatures migrate up the coast to their calving grounds in the Kimberley and then return with their calves where they rest and play in the area’s calm protected waters.
