Perth Airport releases its Sustainability Report
Perth Airport has released its 2025 Sustainability Report.
The Report highlights the airport’s ongoing journey towards greater sustainability.
Perth Airport’s CEO Jason Waters said this report reflects the dedication of the team, who aim to deliver lasting benefits for Western Australia.
“Perth Airport has embarked on its multi-billion dollar investment in new infrastructure, cementing its position as one of the most important assets in Western Australia.
“Over the next decade we will deliver new terminal facilities, a new parallel runway, two new multi-storey car parks, and a hotel.
“These developments will provide the additional capacity our airline partners need to grow their businesses, while aiming to integrate climate resilience and sustainable design into their planning and development.
“We’ve also committed to Net Zero by 2032. As part of this commitment, we are working with our landside bus partner Kinetic to transition our entire bussing service operation to 100% electric within the next decade.
“As we expand, we will work toward ensuring future infrastructure integrates sustainability, resilience, and efficiency into every stage of our development planning and decision-making processes.
“An example of this work is that during the detailed design period for Perth’s New Runway, we significantly reduced potential environmental impacts that were identified in the initial runway design, including preserving the culturally significant Munday Swamp.
“This demonstrates our commitment to respecting Aboriginal heritage and protecting natural habitats through thoughtful design.
“As part of project planning, we have also adopted procurement practices to mitigate modern slavery risks in our supply chain.
“We look forward to continuing our sustainability journey, keeping you updated on progress in areas like energy management, resource recovery, biodiversity, water sensitivity, diversity, Indigenous engagement, and sustainable development.
“Together, we are working towards a more sustainable and resilient future for Perth Airport and the community.”
