Mr Cole was appointed to the board as an Independent Non-Executive Director in January 2023 and subsequently was appointed Chair from March 2023.

During his tenure as Chair, Perth Airport has achieved record passenger growth, reached a landmark commercial agreement with the Qantas Group and has embarked on a transformative multi-billion-dollar investment program that will shape the airport’s future over the next decade. The program will create a world-class travel experience for passengers, support more efficient airline operations, and unlock significant economic benefits for Western Australia.

Mr Cole has decided to hand over the role of Chair to new leadership as part of an orderly succession process. Perth Airport is well positioned to continue its transformative journey and build on the strong momentum established during his tenure.

During the process of appointing a replacement, Mr Cole will remain Chair to ensure a seamless transition.
