Perth Airport appoints Skytanking Australia Pty Ltd to operate jet fuel infrastructure

16 July, 2026

Perth Airport has appointed global aviation fuel services provider Skytanking Australia Pty Ltd (Skytanking) to operate and maintain its jet fuel infrastructure (JFI) facilities, following a competitive tender process.

The 5+ year contract will commence in August 2026, with Skytanking responsible for the operation and maintenance of the airport’s fuel storage and distribution network.

Perth Airport Chief Operating Officer, Scott Woodward, said the transition to a new operator would have no impact for airline customers.

“Fuel suppliers will continue to use the jet fuel infrastructure to supply, store and deliver fuel to their airline customers.

The JFI facilities include:

  • Three 2.2 megalitre fuel storage tanks
  • Approximately six kilometres of hydrant system
  • 125 aircraft refuelling hydrants
  • A single bay road bridger offloading facility capable of receiving fuel tankers via airside route

“We look forward to working with Skytanking as we continue to support the growth of Western Australia’s aviation sector.”
