Master Plan

As the lease holder of the Perth Airport estate, Perth Airport Pty Ltd is required to develop a Master Plan every five years under the Airports Act 1996 (Commonwealth).

The high level plan is a blueprint for future development, covering a planning period of 20 years and incorporating an Environment Strategy and Ground Transport Plan.

The Perth Airport Master Plan 2014 was approved by the then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Hon Warren Truss on 9 January 2015. On June 2017, the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, The Hon. Darren Chester MP, approved a Master Plan 2014 Minor Variation. The Minor Variation is provided as addendum to, and should be read in conjunction with, the approved Master Plan 2014.

As part of the Master Plan and Master Plan Minor Variation process, we undertook extensive stakeholder and community consultation. We valued the feedback we received during the public comment period, and would like to thank all those individuals and organisations that made a submission.

Take some time to read our Frequently Asked Questions for important answers relating to Perth Airport’s Master Plan 2014.

The Perth Airport Preliminary Draft Master Plan 2020 will be made available for public comment from July 24.
