Cult shopping centre brand reveals opening date for Perth

04 September, 2018
DFO Perth will open its doors to the West Australian public on October 3.

Cult outlet shopping centre brand DFO (Direct Factory Outlet) will offer local savvy shoppers and tourists alike the ultimate outlet experience at its first Western Australian location from Wednesday 3 October.

DFO Perth Centre Manager Leanne Smith said more than 100 specialty retailers would call DFO Perth home, as well as a unique selection of dining options and cafes.

“From October 3, we’re offering a new standard of outlet shopping,” Ms Smith said.

“The designer retailers opening at the centre will be a big part of the unique DFO experience, and we anticipate the centre to be popular with Perth shoppers who are looking for value.”

Already a firm favourite with fashionistas and bargain hunters on Australia’s east coast, DFO Perth will offer local and international brands at the most affordable prices year-round, including designer brands like Coach, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Polo Ralph Lauren at up to 70 per cent off.

“True Alliance brings a new concept to Perth and is expected to be popular amongst shoppers, with brands including Ben Sherman, Lacoste, Nautica and The North Face,” Ms Smith said.

British retailer Superdry is set to lead the ranks of many other brands at the new DFO Perth site. Marketing & PR Manager Australia & New Zealand, Matthew Iozzi, says “Superdry has welcomed the new centre as a fantastic opportunity for Perth and a perfect addition to the needs of the market”.

DFO Perth, a $150 million development project jointly funded by Vicinity Centres and Perth Airport Pty Ltd, will span over 24,000sqm and house 113 specialty retailers, a selection of restaurants and cafes. The centre will also have a playground connected to its dining precinct, making DFO Perth a destination for the whole family.

Perth Airport CEO Kevin Brown said the DFO project had created an extraordinary buzz in the community.

“This must be one of the most eagerly anticipated developments ever at Perth Airport. Perth shoppers are ready to embrace this new retail experience.”

The Perth centre, located on Dunreath Drive near Perth Airport, opens on 3 October and will be open 10am-6pm daily. It is the first WA store in DFO’s national portfolio, joining long-standing and popular east coast locations including DFO Brisbane, DFO Homebush and DFO South Wharf.

Premium retailers include:
Calvin Klein, Coach, Fossil, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade, Mimco, M.J. Bale, Oroton, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, True Alliance (Ben Sherman, Lacoste, The North Face, Nautica).
