Overview of Jet Fuel at Perth Airport

Perth Airport owns the Jet Fuel Infrastructure Facilities (JFI Facility) at the airport, including the tank farm and pipeline and hydrant system. Perth Airport's ownership provides for open and transparent access to aviation fuel for airline customers.

The JFI Facility at Perth Airport adhere to strict safety standards and regulations to ensure the proper handling, storage, and transportation of aviation fuel.

Jet Fuel Infrastructure at Perth Airport

The Perth Airport JFI Facility includes the following:

Three jet fuel storage tanks
Road bridger offloading bay capable of receiving tankers up to 27.5m length
125 hydrants for aircraft refuelling;
Approximately six kilometres of underground pipeline connecting the tank farm site to the hydrants at each airport terminal;
General equipment including hydrant pumps and filters; and
Administration facilities and civil infrastructure.

Operations and maintenance

Perth Airport has appointed Skytanking Australia Pty Ltd , a global leader in aviation fuelling services, to operate and maintain the JFI Facility.

Skytanking Australia Pty Ltd operate and maintain Perth Airport's JFI Facility to the latest Joint Inspection Group (JIG) 2 standard for aviation fuel quality controls and operating standards for airport depots and hydrants.
